Our Services

Our range of comprehensive hearing services, coupled with the latest audiology innovation, allow us to provide you with tailor-made hearing solutions to hear clearly and live fully.

Comprehensive Hearing Assessment

A comprehensive hearing assessment involves a set of tests to determine your hearing ability. These tests include a pure-tone test that measures the lowest sound a person can hear, a speech discrimination test to evaluate your speech comprehension and a middle ear assessment to identify any damage or obstructions in the ear canal. Using the results of these tests, our audiologists will develop a customised treatment plan to address any hearing problems that may exist.

Middle Ear Assessment

In a middle ear assessment, our audiologists use state-of-the-art wide-band tympanometry to evaluate the middle ear. This non-intrusive method measures the middle ear’s performance and can detect any problems, such as blockages or fluid accumulation, that could cause hearing difficulties. The assessment is usually conducted in a peaceful environment, and you may be requested to stay calm or perform specific actions to assist in the examination.
The evaluation findings provide critical insights for the audiologist to diagnose and suggest suitable treatment options.

Ear Canal Wax Removal

Removing excess wax buildup from the ear canal is a standard procedure to alleviate discomfort, hearing loss, and potential infection. We do this by using a specialised tool, like a vacuum, to gently suction the wax. It’s a safe and effective method that our audiologists can administer. It’s crucial never to insert any objects into the ear canal, as this can push the wax further in and cause damage to the ear.

Tinnitus assessment and management

Assessing and managing tinnitus involves a thorough examination of your symptoms and medical background to identify the root causes of your tinnitus. Treatment options will vary depending on the severity and type of tinnitus and may include sound therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, medication or a combination of multiple strategies. Consulting with an experienced audiologist in tinnitus management is essential in creating a personalised treatment plan that meets your unique needs.

Fitting and adjusting of hearing and assistive listening devices

For the fitting and adjusting of hearing and assistive listening devices, the process is carefully tailored to your type of hearing loss, unique hearing needs and environment, ability to manage the device, looks and comfort. It often begins with a hearing test and a trial of demo aids to determine which device works best for you. Trusted hearing aid suppliers like Bernafon, Oticon, Signia, Widex, Belton, GN Resound, Phonak, Unitron, and Starkey are often recommended for their quality and reliability. Yearly aid adjustments are also recommended, which include a pure tone and hearing aid check, cleaning, and verification through accurate ear measurements to ensure your aids continue to meet your hearing needs.

Earplugs and custom hearing protection

Earplugs and custom hearing protection are created by taking an impression of the ear canal and using that to create a mould. The mould is then used to produce a custom-fit earplug or hearing protection device that fits perfectly and provides maximum protection. The materials used in creating these devices vary depending on the intended use and level of protection needed, but they are typically made from soft, comfortable materials that are safe for long-term use. Custom hearing protection is essential for people who work in loud environments or participate in activities like shooting or motorsports, where exposure to loud noises can cause permanent hearing damage. We can also create extra-soft sleep ear plugs to reduce the effect of partners who snore loudly and swimming ear plugs to prevent water from entering the ear canal.
